Welcome home!

Rained and then it snowed,
blocked my whole driveway.
We’ll stay in today.
Minnesota snow.
Minnesota snow.

Laced up old ice skates,
I carved your name in ice:
Minnesota nice.
Minnesota snow.

Hockey checks are great
starry nights are sweet
we’ll stay home and eat old pop tarts.
Minnesota snow
Minnesota snow

With fluff and powdered ecstasy
rolled myself a bed,
snowman’s filled his head.
Minnesota snow.
Minnesota snow.

Springtime winds blow hard,
push me easterly
to Greenwich peacefully.
Minnesota Snow
Minnesota Snow

I’m afraid to go
Minnesota nice

Don’t melt all the ice
Minnesota snow

Save a seat for me
Keep the fire warm
Minnesota snow
Minnesota snow
